Blue Pools

Blue Pools 

We stopped en route for a walk to the Blue Pools, across two swinging rope bridges.

The blue waters of the river, the clear snowmelt reflects the colour of the sky and hence it is blue.

And the road bridges are nearly all single lane up the West Coast.

We passed over Haast Pass and stopped at Thunder Creek.

And further along the West Coast after Haast Junction, we stopped at Ship Creek where wreckage was washed up from a ship that sunk of Australia.

And we walked along the beach looking for greenstone for which the area is well known.
