Ham House

 Ham House

The north front of the house facing the Thames.

A detail of  the front door.

The furniture in the porch.

A bust of King Charles II. Note the hair is lower on the left, a popular fashion at teh time to cover the heart.

The west facade.

Looking at the west facade through the gates between the house...

...and the walled gardens.

The cafe overlooking the walled garden.

It was still early in the year and some of the rows of plants were not as glmerour as had been planned. There tulips are not a scratch on the tulip fields of Holland.

But there were groups of beautiful flowers...

or these purple flowers.

The magnificent south facade.

There were games laid out in teh gardens for children such as croquet and this quoits game.

Anotehr game in the gardens.

One of the windows in the hedge overlooking the gardens on the east side of the house.

A view down the arbour on the north side of the house.
