Thn I had a day of exploring the city centre...
...the Black Palace...which is yellow but it overlooks the Rio Negro, hence the name...
...another vocho to add to my collection...
...there are many beautiful old buildings, virtually wherever you look.
The entrance to the cemetery, which was locked. There is a side entrance around the corner. There are some impressive and ornate tombs inside.
...market buildings down by the docks...
...another market hall....
...an impressive harbour board building...
...a monument to the port...
...another tower...
...and wherever you look, there are giant murals...
...the clock tower...
...and the cathedral overlooking the docks.
