Evening safari in Los Llanos

 Evening safari in Los Llanos

There have been issues with the internet and downloading pictures and posting so there is only a little text so please accept my apologises.

Some of the last hills that we will see for a while.
The start of Los Llanos.
Flat land.
The Apure River.
The bridge over the Apure River.

Los Llanos.

Flatlands and ponds.

For as far as the eye can see.
Our guide, Junior rescued a small caiman from a puddle in the road.
A spectacled caiman.
A crested kara kara and a yellow headed kara kara.
An endangered Orinoco Crocodile...
...which was enticed out of the water to show how big they can become.

Me standing on the top of the truckas we arrived for a boat tour of one of the local rivers at dusk.
Some of the group on the water...
...and our view of the riverbank. We saw pink or freshwater dolphins but they were too quick for the camera, and the anteater and deer were too far away without a good zoom and clearly visible by binoculars but not with my camera.
