Salt Lake City, Sunday 16th August
This is another long drive day. First photo is of a potato field...why?...because we have just left Wyoming and crossed the state line into Idaho, known as the potato state.
It was a long journey as demonstrated by Paola leaning against Lawrence for additional support as she slept for part of the journey with Gabbi in the background looking out of the window.
It got drier and hotter as we neared Salt Lake City. We stopped at Temple Square to see ome the sights built by Mormons with a tour by a Korean and a Thai pair of missionaries.
That evening we crossed to Antelope Island which is the biggest island in the Salt Lake and is a state park. It had bison on it but no antelope any more (actually pronghorns, not antelope and different species but they look similar and no one has told the Americans).
The Salt Lake shore.
Our camp site.
Sunset over Salt Lake.
Plus sun rise.
Plus yet another bison.
