Banff to Glacier National Park, Monday 10th August
I went for a walk along the Sundance Canyon trail with some other people enjoying themselves, some great views of scenery, colours and the occasional bit of wildlife.
We may have said goodbye to four new friends yesterday but today we welcome four new friends. Lisa from St Anton in Austria, Paola from Rome, Lawrence from Nelson in New Zealand and Becky from Melbourne although she is a New Zealander by birth.
We had to say goodbye to some friends but they continued in spirit with us as we drew their faces on balloons and stick them to the roof of the bus where they had been sitting. Unfortunately Anja burst as we got into the mountains and Helen followed some after. A week later, Big G still remains with us although his balloon has shrunk to the size of a golf ball.
Tomorrow we are moving on to head south and cross the border into Montana, USA and more camping. So goodbye soft, level, comfy flat beds and good internet connections so new posts more be erratic but at least the weather promises to be better.
En route one of the bridges was being repaired and there was a sign saying 'bridge out'...I thought that only occurred in films!
More scenery en route.
