Hue, former imperial capital
A minor entrance that we would take, crossing a bridge over a moat, through the wall, across another moat and into the inner city.
The inner city gate.
A view across the moat.
Another view of the main entrance.
The queue for tickets plus the entrance in the bacj ground.
In the opposite direction was a ramp for artillery and cavalery to gain access to the upper battlements of the outer walls for rapid deployment of troops in times of need.
And then we were inside and viewed just one of a dozen palaces inside the double walled city.
..and another...
...one of the moats around a palace...
...and more buildings...
...and when I was allowed to take a photo, some of the exhibits...
...and more.
One of the many gates between the palaces and the internal road system that linked them.
One of the internal moats.
A view across the main moat.
... one of the side entrances...
...the view of the gardens in front of the palace......and other views...
of the gardens.
