Saturday morning we were off to see the Monteverde Cloud Forest National Park. We hadn't even left teh town when the taxis pulled off the road and we had a glimpse of a porcupine up a tree.
We arrived at the park and with a guide started the walk through the park.
There was loads to see and the guide had a powerful telescope and tripod so that wegot some goods views but not always good photos.
A bromeliade, pardon the poor spelling..
A waterfall and we were shown two tiny humming birds hiding under a leaf.
A very large and old tree.
There was also a humming bird feeding station where hundred of tiny birds feed on the wing or landed to drink the sugar water. But there was so much movement that I got no good photos as they were all blurred.
Pictures of our hostel.
The annex next door where I stayed...not the whole lot but just the top right hand corner.
The terrace.
The view from the terrace.
Communal area.
Another view from the terrace.
In the afternoon some of the group went zip lining, jungle walks, canopy walks and a litttle later a night time jungle walk to see the wild life. Personal I just chilled around the hostel and went for a walk into town.
