 Chengdu pandas

Chengu is known for its pandas. It had four panda sanctuaries not far from the city centre. We were going to visit one of them to the south of the city.

We walked around many of the enclosures but there were not many pandas active. It was raining which helps to keep the temperatures down as pandas don't like the heat. They like cold weather. One of the pandas sleeping in what looks like a very uncomfortable position.

We walked around several enclosures but the light was poor for my camera to get any good photos. We returned to one enclosure and all that the panda had done in the last twio hours was to roll over.
