El Camino Portuguese
Alvaiazere to Ansiao
It was a short day as I only had 14 kilometres to walk to get to the next overnight stop but I managed to make it a lot longer. As I took a wrong turning in the forest. I didn't take many photos as people have seen trees before but it was pleasant to walk in the shade.
The first obstacle was a hill rising 485 metres. It was a struggle even in the cool of the morning but there were some fine viewsMost of the first part of the s=day was walking through forest but with occasional views.
A traditional local chimney.
The name of the town in the main plaza.
A manor house and main church at the far left.
The town pillar in front of the town hall.
