The piece of paper hanging from the brim of the topper is a poem and an appeal for Horsham Matters, a local charity which aims to relieve hardship through the provision of essential services such as food, fuel and shelter and specifically a Christmas meal for the homeless..

Thank you so much for your donation. Some of the toppers you pictured were made by Horsham Normandy WI You have captured two of the four we put out to raise awareness for COP26. We also put the one out for remembrance day and hope to improve on it for this year. We put out 14 for Christmas to raise money for Horsham Matters. You have most of them, but have missed the one in Springfield Road, just passed Wilkinsons, snowmen in Merryfield Drive, penguins in St. Leonards Road, and a fun snow scene outside Highwood Mill. Not all of the toppers pictured were made by us, but we have had fun doing it and intend to continue, despite some being stolen.
