Rostov on Don
We had arrived four hours early at Rostov do we had moored near the main channel and had a grandstand view of trains going past. This one had five locomotives but it was only 69 wagons long and a long way short of my all time record.
A had a tour of the city and whilst it had the potential to be interesting, my heart wasn't in it as I had had so many city tours in the last few days.
The memorial to the fallen in Theatre Square, the centre of Rostov on Don.
The Ferris Wheel on the other side of the square.
And there are many interesting architectural buildings that survived the war and the bomning.
And another building built by the same architect that constructed the GUM Department store overlooking Red Square in Moscow in the same style.
Another interesting building.
The rebuilt cathedral.
