Opposite is the former priest's house, part timbered and partly in brick and under a traditional Horsham stone roof.

One of the Commonwealth War Graves. The inscription reads as 'Leading Aircraftman E A Towse Royal Air Force, 2nd March 1940 Aged 19'.

The other grave. The inscription reads 'Leading Aircradftwoman Caroline Dorothy Pelling, Woman's Auxillary Air Force 23rd June 1944 Aged 20', killed whilst delivering a plan from the factory to a local airfield. The auxillaries delivered planes to squadrons but were often unarmed so were vulnerable to marauding enemy aircraft.

I have seen llamas in the wild in South America but they are not something that is often seen in rural West Sussex. And to head off those that know their animals better than I, and I forget the differences to positively identify the animal but it could also be an alpaca, guanaco or a vicuna.

I had a long walk to a local nearby town with some stunning architecture and old buildings.

As I walked around my home town in the autumn, I took a few photos of some of the brilliant colours associated with autumn such as the yellow leafed tree on my walking route into town.

Agree slowly turning from green to yellow to red before losing its leaves.

I have written the book (my tenth) and have agreed the cover with the publisher ( photo of the cover proof below) with  publication later in the year but no date has yet been set.

I haven't blogged for a while as during Covid-19, I haven't been able to travel and have been at home. The NHS and keyworkers have been doing a great job and people have been putting up signs so here are a few.
